The professor Alexandra Dumitrașcu, returned from Greece, was a guest of the Diaspora Relations Bureau

In visit at the Diaspora Relations Bureau was Alexandra Dumitrașcu, teacher of Romanian language and literature, who returned two years ago from abroad. During the discussions, the guest referred to the migrant experience and the impact that the ten years spent away from home in Italy and Greece had on him.

Originally from the village of Hîjdieni, Glodeni district, Alexandra Dumitrașcu carried out her professional activity at School No. 1 in the town. Camenca, then at the „Vasile Coroban” high school in the town Glodeni. Mrs. Dumitrașcu wrote the memories, trials and achievements, obtained over time, in the autobiographical novel „Labyrinth of my life”, and she recently published a children's story „Fulgușor si minunilie lui”. The guest provided the Bureau with copies of both works, and a certain number of books „Fulgușor si minunile lui” will be donated to children in the diaspora. The story is already conquering the hearts of children from the Republic of Moldova, reaching schools in Glodeni district, and about 2500 copies were given to the Association of Natives from Hîjdieni.

The desire to write books follows Alexandra Dumitrașcu, and her goal is to identify possibilities that would facilitate their editing. Another desire of his lordship is that the associations of Moldovans in Greece consolidate their efforts and merge, providing for this purpose the example of other ethnicities in the Hellenic Republic.

The Head of the Diaspora Relations Bureau, Nadejda Zubco, thanked the guest for the presence and, in particular, for the books that will be sent to the Educational Centers in the Diaspora, expressing her admiration and appreciation for Mrs. Dumitrașcu's ability to put emotions and feelings on paper, but also for the generosity of sharing his talent with those around him.

Given the fact that Alexandra Dumitrașcu has two children settled outside the country, Nadejda Zubco referred to the activity of the institution she represents and to the Programs intended for the diaspora, noting that BRD will continue to support and encourage the ideas of compatriots from the diaspora, offering them informational and logistical support in their implementation.
