The painter Veaceslav Şalaru, settled in Ireland, was in visit at the BRD

Every time when our diaspora compatriots cross the threshold of the Diaspora Relations Bureau, we listen to them with the attention, discovering new life stories that impress and sensitize us. This time, as guests were Veaceslav and Ludmila Șalaru, who have been living in Ireland for more than 10 years.

Being a modest person, endowed with the grace and talent to paint, Veaceslav Şalaru takes our fame far beyond the borders of the country through the paintings he executes in a special artistic manner, knowing how to harmoniously combine the palette of colors. His has 52 works - portraits and paintings, recently exhibited at the „Art Source” exhibition, which is the most exciting art event of the year in the Emerald Land.

During the dialogue, Mr. Șalaru told us about his experience in the field of painting, stating that his works are widely appreciated abroad, and some time ago he became a member of the Union of Visual Artists in Ireland.

During the discussions, the head of BRD, Nadejda Zubco, appreciated the professional skills of our compatriot, referring to the Diaspora Engagement HUB, a Program that supports cultural and educational actions in the diaspora, encouraging him to apply in the context of organizing an exhibition in Chisinau.
