The „Golden Autumn” festival was organized by the Moldovans in the UK

The Moldovan-British Association „VATRA” organized the Festival named „Golden Autumn”. The event took place in the Reading city and gathered people homesick, having longing for reunion and communication.

"It is a spiritual necessity to find ourselves in such events, where traditions and popular customs bring us closer to our roots. If we know where to anchor, it is easier for us to go through the challenging experiences of the country where we decided to emigrate, and our culture, traditions are the power that charges us with energy", declared us Diana Stamati-Popușoi, the leader of the association.

During the event, various activities were held for adults and children and, of course, there were prizes for the winners of the competitions. Additionally, the children of our compatriots from the UK listened with great enthusiasm some stories in Romanian. It was a beautiful autumn day and our compatriots prepared a table with traditional dishes, attracting the attention of passers-by of different nationalities and talking them about Moldova, which awakened their interest in our country.
