The DEH project "The significance of research in the development of public policies" was successfully realized

The projects that obtained funding this year, within the Diaspora Engagement Hub program, implemented by the Diaspora Relations Bureau, are in progress. One of these projects "The significance of research in the development of public policies", which was successfully relized this week, belongs to our compatriot from the USA, Mrs. Alla Roșca, doctor habilitate, Associate Researcher at Edgewater Research, Lecturer at Xaviar University.

Through the above-mentioned project, Mrs. Roșca aimed to contribute to the transfer of professional knowledge and skills regarding the establishment of links between scientific research and the development of public policies/projects. For this purpose, several training sessions were organized for teachers and students from the State University of Moldova. As a result of the training, the participants were given certificates of participation.

At the last training session attended the representatives of the Diaspora Relations Bureau, who documented themselves toward the project implementation process, as well as its impact. In her speech, the deputy head of BRD, Violina Donu, referred to the importance, impact and sustainability of such an initiative. In the same time, he emphasized that it is also imperative for public officials to know the research methods and to use them daily, whereas the status of the Republic of Moldova as an EU candidate country implies the modification of the evaluation and implementation standards of various public projects, and this includes imminently methods of research.

We express our hope that the information obtained by the teachers will be applied in practice and we will have gratifying results, and this fact will constitute an eloquent example that will motivate other fellow citizens from the diaspora to return, to bring home the international expertise.
