Romanian Language Day, celebrated in Frankfurt am Main

The representatives of the diaspora from the city of Frankfurt am Main organized a festive event, dedicated to the Romanian language.

The participants at the festivity paid their respect to the Romanian language through poetry and music recitals, presented publications in the Romanian language and exhibited thematic photographs and handicrafts from both sides of the Prut.

The event was organized by the Consultative Council of Migrants and Migrants from Frankfurt am Main, with the involvement of our compatriot Mrs. Liliana Răilean, representative of the „Hessen” initiative group from Germany, being supported by the Diaspora Relations Bureau within the State Chancellery of the Republic Moldova and the Department for the Relation with Romanians Abroad, who donated dictionaries, children's books, maps and various materials, which were exhibited during the event.

The Romanian-speaking community in Frankfurt am Main is one of the largest and most professionally diverse in Germany, active in the artistic, entrepreneurial, medical, academic fields etc.
