Documentary visit in the districts of Străseni and Nisporeni

On November 2, the representatives of the Diaspora Relations Bureau were in a visit of documentation, organized by the UNDP and the Swiss Cooperation Office in the Republic of Moldova, in the villages of Scoreni, Condrița, Vorniceni, Micleușeni and Ciorești.

The respective localities have recorded important results, obtained with the support of the SDC/PNUD within the project „Migration and local development” (phase II) in the field of community development, economic development, rural tourism, as well as the link between diaspora and development through the governmental Program Diaspora at Home Succeeds „DAR 1+3”.

The visit was attended by Dima Al-Khatib, Resident Representative of UNDP in the Republic of Moldova and Guido Beltrani, Director, Swiss Cooperation Office in the Republic of Moldova.

The delegation visited the „Nea Stan's Guest House”; the guesthouse „Natura Park”; the world's largest wine barrel (under construction); the „Vatra Dumeniului” tourist complex; „Divus” winery; guesthouse „Conacul mierii”; the „Dor de Codru” tourist itinerary; the workshop of folk craftsman Zaharia Triboi; social canteen from Ciorești.

In the same time, the members of the delegation held discussions with mayors, presidents of Associations of Natives, managers of guesthouses/tourist complexes, migrants returned from Great Britain, Greece, Italy, Romania, who invested in the above-mentioned localities. The local people spoke about the results of the initiatives involving the diaspora and the natives in the realization of the projects implemented, including, with the support of the Program „DAR 1+3”. We mention that, due to this program, several initiatives were carried out during the years 2020-2021. In the village of Vorniceni, the restoration and modernization of street lighting was ensured and in the village of Ciorești - the capital repair of some sections of the road was done.
