Another achievement achieved within the DEH Program – „MentorMe JobAccelerator 2.0” professional guidance program

The results of the Diaspora Engagement Hub Program continue to delight not only the authors of the projects, but also their beneficiaries. In a warm and relaxed atmosphere, the closing conference of the DEH project „MentorMe JobAccelerator 2.0” professional guidance program was recently held online - a unique initiative having the purpose to continue the first specialized course in counseling and career orientation of young people, in order to insert them into the labor field in the Republic of Moldova.

The author of the project, Dana Muntean, the founder of the first global mentoring platform „MentorMe” together with her team set out to stimulate and promote initiatives from the diaspora, with an innovative character in education, contributing to the economic, social and cultural development of the Republic of Moldova.

The target group of the „MentorMe JobAccelerator 2.0” project was young people with age between 18 – 29 years old, residing in the Republic of Moldova and coming from disadvantaged backgrounds. For this purpose, the authors of the project collaborated with representatives from public educational institutions and private institutions. And in the process trainers were involved both from the country and from abroad with vast experience in their fields of activity. For greater accessibility among people with special needs, the course has been adapted to all beneficiaries with hearing problems and hypoacusis, integrating video interpretation into the mime-gestural language.

The content of the online training will be available in the next five to seven years, thus constituting an accessible tool and at the reach of every young person, at the distance of a click from home or from the school library. Interested persons will be able to find out what are the basic criteria for preparing a CV or a letter of intent, as well as details regarding the employment interview in the field of work. The course will be able to be used by all categories of young people, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, giving them a chance for the future.

The „MentorMe JobAccelerator 2.0” project was realized within the Program „Diaspora Engagement Hub”, the sub-programme „Innovative projects of the diaspora”, implemented by the Diaspora Relations Bureau with financial support from the state budget. The project also obtained the support of the Ministry of Education and Research through the grant program for youth organizations and the national/local project competition for youth initiative groups.
