Adriana Rotaru from Belgium and Dorina Baltag from the Kingdom of the Netherlands undertook a documentary visit to the Republic of Moldova

Adriana Rotaru, the founder of the „Run pink Moldova” platform, established in Belgium, and Dorina Baltag, the leader of the „Noroc Holland” foundation, from the Kingdom of the Netherlands, these days visited the Diaspora Relations Bureau.

The dialogue focused on good practices in the countries of residence of our fellow citizens, in particular, it is about breast cancer prevention campaigns. At the same time, Dorina and Adriana mentioned that they are in the process of documentation in order to better understand the institutional context and how they could contribute more constructively to the mentioned subject. We specify that, for several years in a row, the Run Pink Moldova community has been carrying out several actions aimed at supporting women who are going through cancer. Among them are the „Run Pink Retreat” recovery camps, the "Race for the Cure" marathon, the „Donate a basket” action, the free offering of breast prostheses and other initiatives aimed at supporting women from the Republic of Moldova, diagnosed with the disease of the 21st century.

In order to launch and coordinate the Prevention Campaign at the national level, Adriana Rotaru and Dorina Baltag had several meetings within the relevant institutions in the country, the Ministry of Health, the Oncological Institute, as well as a reunion with the beneficiaries of the recovery camps from previous editions.

Nadejda Zubco, head of the Diaspora Relations Bureau, expressed her appreciation and support for the intentions, but also the achievements achieved by the Run Pink Moldova community, through the involvement of wonderful people from the diaspora. In the same vein, the head of BRD mentioned the importance of information from reliable sources and collaboration for this purpose with specialists in the field, reiterating the support from the institution she represents, for the idea, the work and the effort of the members of the Run Pink Moldova community.

„It is gratifying that more and more compatriots from the diaspora are involved in the transfer of knowledge and expertise, in offering consultancy and in initiating projects with a positive impact on society”, added Nadejda Zubco, thanking Adriana Rotaru and Dorina Baltag for they are an example worthy of following and wishing them much success in achieving their desired.
