"A healthy mind into a healthy body" - a new project successfully implemented within the sub-program for young people from the diaspora, part of the Program "Diaspora Engagement Hub"

In a warm and relaxed atmosphere, yesterday in Badicul Moldovenesc, in the Cahul district, took place the launch event of the project "A healthy mind into a healthy body" within the "Diaspora Engagement HUB" Program, the sub-program aimed at young people from the diaspora. The beneficiary of the grant is Steluța Mazilu, a performance athlete, established in Canada.

We specify that the "A healthy mind into a healthy body" project was implemented in the 2021 edition of the DEH Program, but this year it was expanded.

In the yard of the "Nicolae Botgros" gymnasium, an active rest and relaxation area has been set up, where both students, teachers and village residents have the opportunity to spend quality and useful time.

The participants in the repeated inauguration of the rest area, after completing it with the necessary inventory, also organized a big day show, which was presented by the secondary school students. At the same time, they had the opportunity to play chess, volleyball and practice for physical education lessons.

The director of the "Nicolae Botgros" gymnasium thanked the Government of the Republic of Moldova for the opportunity offered to realize the "A healthy mind into a healthy body" project, through the Diaspora Relations Bureau. At the same time, she expressed her gratitude for all the volunteers who contributed to the achievement of the goal. A tombola with prizes was organized for the volunteers group.

At the event, Diana Cucoș congratulated the residents of Badicul Moldovenesc, on the occasion of the project launch, mentioning the importance of the involvement of the diaspora in the prosperity of the country. "We would be happy to know that Steluţa's example has been taken up by other natives from the diaspora, who out of respect for the place of origin, for the people at home, for the roots will strengthen their efforts to support the localities where they were born and not only".

We remind that the activity is realized within the "Diaspora Engagement HUB" program, the sub-program aimed at young people from the diaspora, with financial expenses covered from the state budget.
