The Diaspora Relations Office invites compatriots settled abroad to Diaspora Days, 2022 edition

The diaspora relations office, within the State Chancellery, organizes Diaspora Days under the patronage of the Government of the Republic of Moldova, during August 19-20. The event will take place in person at the Palatul Republicii (Str. Maria Cebotari, 16) and will be broadcast live on privesc.eu and on the Facebook page of the Bureau of Diaspora Relations.

The official ceremony will start at 13.30 with the speech of the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu. And in the thematic interventions, Nicu Popescu, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Iurie Țurcanu, Deputy Prime Minister for Digitalization, as well as Angelica Caraman, President of the Central Electoral Commission, will participate. There will be a Diaspora - Ambassadors of the Republic of Moldova abroad question-and-answer session. Later, the development partners will come with a word of greeting.

During the two days, the members of the diaspora who will participate in the Diaspora Days will have an open dialogue with the representatives of the authorities, at the same time, they will have the opportunity to participate in two workshops on the promotion of the tourism product of the Republic of Moldova and a session of networking between diaspora and native associations, as well as listening to real stories "from home" from the experience of diaspora and returned migrants.

At the same time, a photography exhibition, thematic exhibitions of diaspora associations and native associations, as well as stands of public institutions will be set up in the premises of the Palace of the Republic.

The event dedicated to Diaspora Days will end with a festive ceremony, during which talented people from the diaspora will perform.

The need to organize Diaspora Days in the Republic of Moldova comes from the desire to create a mechanism for establishing development and collaboration relations with compatriots from abroad, for strengthening diaspora representatives and their public structures, promoting national interests, ensuring dialogue between compatriots from abroad and state authorities, the development and promotion of traditional cultural and artistic dialogue.
